Do not expect a Workshop tab, one-click subscription flow, or guaranteed mod compatibility in the current standard release. Tool development or consideration shows interest in future support, but it does not promise a date or final feature set. The base game should be evaluated without assuming mods will become official. Future announcements may change this status, but the present answer remains cautious.
Using third-party mods carefully
Back up saves and configuration before installing an unofficial modification. Check the mod version, required loader, supported game build, installation path, and recent user reports. Add one modification at a time so a failure has an identifiable cause. Remove the mod and verify clean game files before reporting a problem as a base-game bug.
Compatibility can change
A mod that works on one patch may fail after the game updates, even when its feature looks unrelated to the changed systems. Community co-op or VR experiments should not be described as official game modes. Their maintenance, security, and save compatibility depend on their own developers. Use them only when you are comfortable troubleshooting and returning to a clean installation.
